Eason Chinn was driving fast, as if venting his anger. Suddenly, his cell phone rang. He picked it up without looking at it.
"Ms. Lewin, why haven't you come for your check-up and medication today? You might not survive even half a year if you don't take care of yourself, let alone the child in your womb."
Boom! As if struck by a thunderbolt, Eason suddenly stopped the car...

"Cynthia, you are such a hypocrite."
Eason's voice was full of hatred, "Grandma is ill because of you. She said she never wanted to see you again. Don't you dare take advantage of her kindness ever again."
Cynthia's heart twitched: "What do you mean? My foster mother..."

The pain in her heart was growing intense second by second. Cynthia knew she wouldn't make it unless she took the medicine now. But she had to explain herself to Eason. She couldn't faint now.
She took out the medicine bottle with trembling hands, only to be slapped by Eason.
Eason looked at her, his voice full of disappointment and disgust: "I beg you. Stop pretending. Cynthia, you look really pathetic. I can give you one million, even ten, as much as you want. But please just drop the act and sign this divorce agreement, okay?"
His extremely disappointed tone made Cynthia ache.
With tears in her eyes, Cynthia went to pick up the medicine bottle with difficulty, but the bottle was kicked away by Eason again.
Eason grabbed her collar and yelled at her with bloodshot eyes: "I told you to stop pretending!" He shoved the pen into her hand, then grabbed her hand as he wrote her name in the signature space.

Cynthia shook her head in despair. Any more resisting was useless.

I really can’t get enough of this app. I spend most of my time reading, even at work. I just need a little taste of a chapter. The authors of the books are geniuses, I am sooo appreciative of their efforts.
